3000 Buddhas

Construction Merit Fund for Enshrining Three Thousand Buddhas

Enshrining 3000 Buddhas serves as our Temple’s sacred symbol, originating from the Medicine King Sutra. Buddhas from past, present, and future offer equal merit despite different names. This act involves virtuous deeds like temple construction, Dharma propagation, monk refuge, and support for the Three Jewels. Donors are honored alongside the Buddhas, contributing to Buddhism's sanctity.

Each Buddha statue, inscribed with donor and Buddha names, graces the Main Hall, fostering a sacred bond. Donors aid temple construction, including a 5,000 sq ft Main Hall housing 3000 Buddha statues, symbolizing protection and spiritual refuge for all beings.

Construction also includes monastic quarters and a cafeteria. Donors are commemorated annually during the Chinese New Year with the Three Thousand Buddhas Repentance Ceremony, praying for their well-being and longevity. Dharma assemblies’ post-completion bless donors and invoke Pure Land blessings for the departed.

Each Buddha statue measures approximately 6.5 inches x 4 inches. The donation amount is $3,800 CAD (or RMB 19,800), with tax receipt available upon request.
